Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit ecommercegeorgia.ge, the website of the eCommerce Georgia 2026 conference, why it is collected, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
The website is operated by eCommerce Association Georgia (ECAG), the organiser of eCommerce Georgia 2026. ECAG is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Contact: info@ecag.ge
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to ecommercegeorgia.ge, including the Georgian version and the past-event pages. Ticket sales and some registration forms are provided by third parties and are covered by their own privacy policies (see section 5). Use of the website is also subject to the ECAG Terms & Conditions.
3. What data we collect
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
If you click Accept in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and collects information like the pages you view, how long you stay, the website you came from, the links and buttons you click (for example, the ticket link), your device and browser type, and your approximate location (country and city). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
If you click Reject or make no choice, analytics cookies are not set. We use Google Consent Mode, so without consent no analytics cookies are stored on your device. Advertising features are always off.
Your cookie choice
We save your choice (accept or reject) in your browser's local storage under the name ecag_consent, so the banner is not shown on every visit. It is not used to track you and stays until you clear your browser data or change your choice.
Technical data from hosting
The website is delivered through Cloudflare. As with any website, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the website securely and protect it against abuse.
Content loaded from other providers
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and some photos on the past-event pages are loaded from Wix servers. When your browser loads them, your IP address and browser details are sent to these providers.
When you email us
If you write to us (for example about partnership, speaking or general questions), we receive your email address, name and the content of your message, and use them only to reply and handle your request.
We do not ask you to create an account on this website, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising cookies.
4. Why we use the data and the legal basis
- Website analytics - to improve the website and measure interest in the event. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Hosting and security - to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe website.
- Replying to you - to answer emails and handle partnership, speaker or attendee requests. Legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest.
- Demo Live registration - to manage attendance at Demo Live sessions and contact you about them. Legal basis: your request to register.
We process personal data in line with the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection and, for visitors in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
5. Third-party services
- Biletebi.ge - tickets are sold on Biletebi.ge. The data you provide when buying a ticket is processed by Biletebi.ge under its own privacy policy.
- Demo Live registration form - the Register buttons open an external form. The details you submit there (such as your name, company and contact information) are used by ECAG to manage Demo Live registrations.
- Partner and social media links - links to partner websites, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
6. Service providers and international transfers
We use Google (Google Analytics, Google Fonts), Cloudflare (hosting and security) and Wix (images on past-event pages). These providers may process data outside Georgia, including in the United States. They are bound by their data processing terms and safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep data
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
- Your cookie choice: until you clear your browser data or change it.
- Emails and registration data: as long as needed to handle your request and organise the event, and then deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to info@ecag.ge.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia or, if you are in the EU, with your local data protection authority.
9. Managing cookies
You can change your choice at any time using at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
10. Children
This website is intended for professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or the services we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
