On 25 October 2023, eCommerce Association Georgia held the first eCommerce Day Georgia at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace. It drew 750 industry professionals - half again as many as the 500 expected.
Chairman Lado Kandelaki opened the day on the role events like this play in growing the sector. Speakers from Rakuten Viber, Visa, Trendyol, TNET, Amazon Pharmacy and Veli.Store covered superapps, payments, regional platforms, data and health retail, and Bank of Georgia ran a hands-on Ads Manager workshop. The agenda looked ahead to AI in eCommerce, digital marketing and supply chains - and set the format the event has grown from since.
